Osan City Extends Educational Cooperation Agreement with Gyeonggi Province Office of Education Lifelong Learning Center Through 2028

Osan City (Mayor Jo Yong-ho) announced on the 25th that it has extended the lifelong education promotion business agreement signed with the Gyeonggi Province Office of Education Lifelong Learning Center through 2028.

Since their initial agreement in 2024, the two institutions have operated the 'Osan City-Gyeonggi Province Office of Education Lifelong Learning Center Empathy Exchange Cooperation Program.' Through this program, parents and students in the Osan area have been able to access expert lectures on information necessary for school life and career and academic planning.

The program, which has operated for the past two years, has held a total of 15 sessions with 511 parents and students in attendance. In line with changes in the education system, the program has consistently addressed topics of high interest to families, including school record management, the high school credit system, and self-directed learning.

This year, the program expanded its scope to include not only education and admission but also youth safety. Four programs were operated: △'Creating Research Reports Yourself, Achieving Your School Records,' △'Properly Understanding the High School Credit System,' △'Cybercrime Threatening Teenagers, Safety Nets Protected by Law,' and △'Self-Directed Learning Methods for Elementary and Middle School Parents.'

'Preparing for Comprehensive College Admissions Through Research Reports,' which was held on the 22nd in the Osan City Hall conference room, was one of them. The education focused on content that students can utilize in their school life and admission preparation, including how to write research reports and managing school records.

Mayor Jo Yong-ho of Osan City stated, "Over the past two years of cooperation, parents and students have been able to access necessary information for preparing school life and career paths in nearby locations," and added, "Going forward, we will carefully monitor the educational needs of the community and continue to implement programs that provide substantive help for students' growth and parents' educational concerns."
