Osan City Extends Educational Cooperation with Gyeonggi Province Lifelong Learning Center Until 2028

Osan City (Mayor Cho Yongho) announced on the 25th that it has extended the lifelong education activation agreement concluded with the Gyeonggi Province Lifelong Learning Center until 2028.

The two organizations have been operating the 'Osan City-Gyeonggi Province Lifelong Learning Center Empathetic Exchange and Cooperation Program' since the initial agreement in 2024. Parents and students in the Osan region have been able to access information necessary for school life and career and college guidance through expert lectures via this program.

The program, which has been operated over the past two years, has held a total of 15 sessions with 511 parents and students participating. In line with changes in educational systems, the program has consistently addressed topics of high interest to families, including school record management, high school credit system, and self-directed learning.

This year, the program expanded its scope beyond education and college admissions to include youth safety. Four programs operated: △'Building Inquiry Reports and School Records Students Create Themselves' △'Properly Understanding the High School Credit System' △'Cybercrime Devouring Teenagers: Safety Nets Protected by Law' △'Self-Directed Learning Methods for Elementary and Middle School Parents.'

The session 'Preparing for College Admission Through Inquiry Reports,' held on the 22nd in the Osan City Hall conference room, was one of them. Education was conducted focusing on content that students can utilize in school life and college entrance preparation, including methods for writing inquiry reports and managing school records.

Osan Mayor Cho Yongho stated, "Over the past two years of cooperation, parents and students have been able to access necessary information about school life and career preparation from nearby locations," and added, "Going forward, we will carefully monitor the educational needs of the region and continue to implement programs that provide practical assistance for student development and parents' educational concerns."
