Yongin Education Office Expands University-Linked College Credit High School Programs...Operating 3 Universities and 8 Subjects

[News S=Reporter Choi Hun-min] The Yongin Education Office in Gyeonggi Province announced that in the second semester of the 2026 academic year, it will operate a total of 8 subjects including college credit-recognized courses, dual-credit courses, and credit-recognized pilot programs in partnership with Myongji University, Dankook University, and Yongin University.

University-linked credit-recognized education, which began with one subject, 'Semiconductor Manufacturing' at Myongji University in the first semester, has expanded to 3 universities and 8 subjects in the second semester. Students can choose and learn subjects that match their career paths in the universities' specialized educational environments.

Myongji University will operate 'Semiconductor Manufacturing' and 'Embedded Robot Control,' each for 48 hours (3 credits), while Dankook University will operate 4 pilot courses including advanced life science inquiry, and Yongin University will operate 2 pilot courses including advanced sports competition techniques. The 6 pilot courses target grades 1-2 high school students and will be conducted for 18-24 hours per subject between August and November.

Education Director Cho Young-min said, "We have confirmed the potential for students to explore their career paths and expand their learning in universities' professional educational environments." He continued, "We will strengthen cooperation with universities and local institutions and continuously expand customized educational programs for students."
