Osan City Hosts 2026 Tourism Souvenir Contest... Applications Accepted September 8-18
Osan City (Mayor Cho Yong-ho) announced on the 24th that it will hold the "2026 Osan City Tourism Souvenir Contest" to discover outstanding tourism souvenirs that embody Osan's history and cultural characteristics and help promote the region's value.
This contest is open to any Korean citizen and targets finished products priced at 20,000 won or less that utilize Osan's culture, nature, tourist attractions, festivals, and the city character 'Kassani.' Entries may be submitted as long as the tourism souvenirs possess marketability and practicality.
Submitted works will be evaluated comprehensively for thematic relevance, marketability, practicality, sustainability, and expandability, along with preference surveys conducted among visitors to Osan City's cultural tourism facilities, with a total of nine works selected. Award recipients will be recognized with one grand prize, two gold prizes, two silver prizes, and four encouragement awards, totaling 10 million won in prize money.
Applications can be submitted in person to the Culture and Arts Division at Osan City Hall from September 8 to 18 with the application form and submitted work.
Winning works will be sold through Osan City tourism souvenir sales outlets and promoted through the city's official social media and tourism events. Detailed information regarding the contest can be found on the Osan City Hall website.
An Osan City official stated, "We hope that through this contest, we can discover fresh and practical tourism souvenirs that embody Osan's unique history and cultural characteristics," and added, "We hope for considerable interest and participation so that souvenirs that residents and tourists want to keep are submitted in large numbers."
